Working with other applications

When PowerBuilder opens, it displays the name of the application
you worked on last in the title bar. You can change applications
to work with another application at any time.

proc.gif To change applications:

  1. Click the Select Application button on
    the PowerBar.

    The Select Application dialog box displays.

  2. In the Browse tab page, navigate to the library
    containing the application you want and double-click the Application
    object.

    or

    In the Recent tab page, double-click an application
    you’ve recently accessed.

    In the Browse tab page, you can also type the name of the
    application in the Name edit box using the absolute or relative
    path as if the application were just a file within a PBL (for example
    C:PBLSTEST.PBLMYAPP).

    The application is changed and the name of the new application
    displays in the PowerBuilder title bar.

File>Recent Applications You can also quickly change the application to one that you’ve
recently accessed using a menu item.

proc.gif To change applications to a recent application:

  1. Select File>Recent Applications from
    the menu bar and select the application.

    The application list includes the eight most-recently-accessed applications.
    You can include up to 36 applications on the list by selecting Window>System
    Options and modifying the number of items.
