SAP Adaptive
Server Enterprise Retrieval

PowerBuilder uses a construct that is very similar to cursors to
support retrieval using database stored procedures. In the
PowerBuilder-supported embedded SQL, there are four commands that involve
database stored procedures:

  • DECLARE procedure_name PROCEDURE FOR …

  • EXECUTE procedure_name

  • FETCH procedure_name INTO …

  • CLOSE procedure_name
