Reverse Engineer dialog box
Description
Use this dialog box to select the objects in the PowerBuilder
target that you want to reverse-engineer as classes in a class diagram.
Reverse-engineering is the process of examining and recovering data
or source code that is then used to build or update an object oriented
model. You can reverse-engineer PowerBuilder objects to obtain a
diagram of the class structure of those objects.
Dialog options
Object Oriented Model file name
By default, the OOM file that you abstract from the PowerBuilder
target will have the same name as the target, but with a OOM extension.
You can change the OOM file and path name by clicking the ellipsis
button next to this field and entering a new value for the oompath property
in the Plug-in Attributes of Target dialog box.
Drop-down list for generation options
If the PowerBuilder target is not already linked to an existing
OOM file, the only option available is to create a new object-oriented
model file. If the PowerBuilder target is already linked, you must
select from one of the following options: Merge with existing Object Oriented
Model (default); Replace existing Object Oriented Model; Replace selected
packages and classes; or Replace selected classes.
For objects listed in the dialog box tree view
Expand the library or libraries listed in the tree view to
display objects that you want to selectively reverse engineer. Select
the check box next to each object you want to reverse engineer.
Clear the check box if you do not want to reverse engineer the object.
The check box next to a target or library listing serves as
a Select All or Deselect All button for the objects in that target
or library.
