Prerequisites

Step 1: Install PowerBuilder 2021.

Step 2: Download the RibbonBar demo application from
here.

Step 3: Set up the sample database.

  1. Get the database file “AppeonSample.db” from the downloaded
    demo application.

  2. Set up the ODBC database connection.

    1. Open Control Panel > System and Security >
      Administrative Tools > ODBC Data Sources.

    2. Create a new Data Source in SQL Anywhere 17.

    3. Fill in the following data source configurations. Note
      that username and password for data source connection is “dba”
      and “sql”.

    4. In PowerBuilder, setup and connect to the created ODBC
      data source.
