Retrieval

PowerBuilder uses a construct similar to cursors to support
retrieval using database stored procedures. PowerBuilder supports four
embedded SQL statements that involve database stored procedures:

  • DECLARE procedure_name PROCEDURE FOR …

  • EXECUTE procedure_name

  • FETCH procedure_name INTO …

  • CLOSE procedure_name
