Maintaining database profiles
You can easily edit or delete an existing database profile in
PowerBuilder.
You can edit a database profile to change one or more of its
connection parameters. You can delete a database profile when you no
longer need to access its data. You can also change a profile using either
the Database Profiles dialog box or the Database painter.
What happens
When you edit or delete a database profile, PowerBuilder either
updates the database profile entry in the registry or removes it.
Deleting a profile for an ODBC data source
If you delete a database profile that connects to an ODBC data
source, PowerBuilder does not delete the corresponding data source
definition from the ODBC initialization file. This lets you re-create
the database profile later if necessary without having to redefine the
data source.
