Application executable disappeared suddenly – PB Docs 2022

The application executable file disappeared suddenly after being
run successfully for a few times. The application’s desktop shortcut
disappeared too.

Cause:

The anti-virus software such as McAfee may incorrectly identify
the application executable as malicious and block it from
running.

Solution:

Try the following to resolve this issue:

1. Add the application executable file (as well as the cloud app
launcher) to the exception list of the anti-virus software.

2. Sign the application executable (as well as the cloud app
launcher).

3. Update the anti-virus software to the latest version and the
latest virus definitions.

4. Report this false positive to the anti-virus software.
