Adaptive Server Enterprise data truncated using roman8 charset – PB Docs 2022

Symptom

Upgraded toAdapive Server Enterprise 15 and using the following
database parameters in PowerBuilder is causing truncation when data is
greater than 255 characters:

Cause

This issue was caused by using SQLCA.DBMS = “SYC Adaptive Server
Enterprise” instead of “ASE Adaptive Server Enterprise”.
