Cloud App Launcher refactoring
The cloud app launcher has been re-factored to remove
unnecessary complications and simplify the end user’s
experience.
-
In version 2022, the developer no longer needs to choose the
launcher mode (with or without background service); it is handled
internally by the program. -
The Launcher 2022 will be available in two versions:
standard version vs. public version. The standard version requires
no administrator rights during installation; it is installed
automatically to the user folder and used by the current user
only. The public version can be used by all users on the same
machine, but it must be installed by an administrator. -
The user is able to install cloud app launcher to a
specified directory, if the developer has specified (or allowed
the user to specify) the installation path when creating the
launcher. -
The developer is able to specify the launcher EXE file
properties such as file description, product name and the images
to show at the client during the running of the launcher. -
The Launcher 2022 does not require loopback address to be
enabled. The running of the launcher is compatible with typical
customers’ corporate firewall, security practices, and browser
settings. -
The Launcher 2021 and Launcher 2022 can coexist on the same
machine, instead of prompting users to upgrade the launcher from
the previous version.
